Float & Center stores certain data locally on your Mac using macOS system storage. This includes:
- Text items and lists you create
- Timer configurations
- Visual themes and color presets
- Window position and display preferences
- App settings and customizations
This data does not leave your device and is not collected. This information is not accessible remotely and is not transmitted to any servers.
2. Usage and Analytics Data
Float & Center uses Firebase Analytics to automatically collect limited usage and performance data to help improve the app. This data may include:
- App launch and session events
- Feature usage events (e.g., timers started, settings opened)
- General interaction patterns
- Device and OS metadata (e.g., app version, macOS version)
- IP address (processed transiently by Firebase for network and security purposes)
- Pseudonymous identifiers (such as an app instance identifier)
This data is not used to identify you personally, is not linked to your local content, and is not used for advertising or tracking across apps. Your name, email address, and the text you create in the app are not collected through analytics.
You cannot currently opt out of analytics within the app. However, analytics collection may be limited through macOS system privacy controls where available.
3. Feedback You Provide Voluntarily
If you choose to submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, the following information may be collected:
- Feedback category (bug report, feature request, general feedback)
- The message content you submit
- An email address only if you choose to provide one
Feedback is transmitted securely over HTTPS when you press "Send Feedback." Submitting feedback is optional, and the app functions fully without it.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
